Wreck Diving South Australia - the Hobart

The Wreck of the Hobart

The Hobart

The Hobart was arteficially sunk by the SA government. There are a couple of charter boats runnuing the trip.

The Wreck lies in 30m of water, the decks lie at between 15 and 22m depth.

It is 133m in length and over 14m wide.

Specials: Be prepared to meet a strong current, in winter we had really bad visibility.
The current is dependend from the tide change, so there should be an 1,5 hour time slot for undisturbed diving....

Our vis was just horribel- so we could NOT see all the Big Whites around us ;)
